Alex Boulware is a 2014 LHP/1B, OF with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Blythewood, SC who attends Blythewood. Medium, lean frame with athletic build. Long arms and projects well. Left handed pitcher who throws from a three quarter arm slot with a short arm action in back. Maintains balance throughout delivery with an online finish. Ball comes out of hand easy and works downhill. Fastball up to 83 mph with occasional arm aside run down in the zone. Flashed both a 1/7 curveball at 74 mph and a slider with 2/8 sweeping break which he tends to get around. Change up topped at 76 mph which he spotted well low. Interesting arm to follow. Good student.
