Ryan McKenzie is a strong, big bodied 2005 right handed hitting catcher from Dunedin, FL. He has very good hand strength and hand quickness and takes a good path to the ball at the plate. Better use of his lower half and a more aggressive approach, especially turning on balls on the inside half, would help McKenzie even more at the plate. Defensively, McKenzie showed some good arm strength and the kind of durable frame that coaches like to see in a catcher. He could improve his foot quickness, but he can play. Good bat, strong arm and a good student.
