Christopher Koppenhaver is a 2014 RHP/OF with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Davie, FL who attends Pine Crest School. Long limbed young build, very projectable. Smooth on line delivery, quick clean arm action, 3/4's release point, could finish better out front. Fastball to 87 mph, nice late running action at times, tight spin on slurve type breaking ball, short quick break, could develop into true slider with more velo or hard breaking ball with more depth and 2 plane shape. Knows how to pitch, throws to spots, commands curveball well. Potential power pitcher, has gained 6 mph in the last year. Athletic outfield actions, good footwork, on line accuracy with carry on throws, 7.23 runner. Right handed hitter, swings hard, tends to lunge in, mostly opposite field contact, some hand quickness but needs mechanical work. Bright future on the mound. Good student. Named to the Top Prospect Team.

He uses an overhand release on the mound, very compact arm action, loose delivery with solid balance, extends well to plate, ball comes out cleanly, solid arm speed, good feel for strike zone, can spin curveball well, promising pitch. It should be interesting to see him develop. Also hit, wide base, solid load, short to ball, solid contact. He is a good student.
