2011 Spring Top Prospect Showcase
Tanner Unkel is a 2011 MIF with a 5-8 175 lb. frame from Cedar Rapids, IA who attends Jefferson HS. Smaller compact build, good present strength. Very good runner, 6.55 in the 60, uses speed aggressively on the field. Open stance hitting, limited lower half use, rock back load, short contact swing, line drive plane, hits to all fields, can improve with adjustments to lower half. Charges ball well defensively, arm strength limits to 2B, will have range. Plays the game hard and maximizes his speed tool. Good student. Signed with NIACC.
