Matthias Johnson is a 2014 OF with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Tulsa, OK who attends Jenks. Has a medium athletic projectable frame with a good strong build. Has arm strength from the outfield with good carry on his throws and they are accurate. Has a good set up, plays through the ball well and has good footwork. Has a wide slightly open stance at the plate with a good approach and is a top of the order hitter. Has a line drive swing plane, is short to the ball, has bat speed with good extension. Stays inside the ball with lift in his swing and uses all fields. Is a very good student.
