Ben Baggett is a 2015 RHP/C/IF with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from Fayetteville, GA who attends Landmark Christian HS. Strong square shouldered build, catcher's physique. Big fast paced leg raise delivery, over the top arm slot, will drop lower at times with breaking balls and out of the stretch, some effort at release. Fastball topped out at 91 mph, mostly straight with occasional arm side run, works down in the zone and to the glove side, aggressive with his fastball. Two different shapes of breaking ball, flashes good spin and some depth, tends to drop slot for more of a sweeping shape at times. Nice fade on change up. 7.17 runner, compact actions behind the plate, good balanced set up, 1.99 best pop time. Right handed hitter, hand hitch load, short wristy line drive swing, limited lower half use, good hand quickness. Excellent student.
