Shawn Redwine- MIF- Notre Dame Academy, Haymarket, VA- 5'11"/172. Redwine has very good arm strength, and he threw 87 mph across the infield during the workout. He has great hands and footwork defensively with a quick release. He can play defense with the best of them. He only ran a 7.25, but his game quickness is much better than that. Offensively Redwine takes a small stride at the plate and is a line drive hitter. He has lots of natural hitting ability. Defensively he can play anywhere. It's odd that he is still unsigned. He's a very good student and an outstanding young man. His attitude and work ethic could end up making him a successful professional player.

Shawn Redwine is a 2005 middle infielder from Haymarket, Virginia, with a strong and athletic 5'11", 176 lb. frame. Redwine has pro level arm strength in the infield. He has soft hands and good actions, and showed a good back hand during the workout. Redwine is a switch hitter with good balance from both sides. He has college level bat speed with a line drive swing plane. He made consistently solid contact during batting practice, and should be a valuable switch hitter at a top level school. Redwine is a very patient hitter with a good knowledge of the strike zone. He is much quicker in the field and on the bases than his 60 time might suggest. Redwine is a very good hitting prospect with a good future. Shawn is a good student.

Good "05" INF who projects nicely. Strong arm and excellent INF actions. Good hands and feet. Nice looking swing. Short to the ball, stays inside and good extension. Uses the whole field to hit line drives. Could end up hitting with power. Only needs to improve his running ability and get stronger. Keep an eye on him.

Redwine is a young "05" infielder with a strong quick arm. He's already a very good player and should become a top prospect by his senior year. He needs to lower those 60 times to stay in the middle of the infield, but he will.
