Austin Battaglia is a 2013 IF/RHP with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Waukee, IA who attends Waukee HS. Medium build with present strength and athleticism. Showed athletic ability on infield with range and quick feet. Gets to balls, low arm slot, shows looseness in arm. Quiet approach at the plate, wide base, minimal pre-swing movement. Strength in swing, squares up ball well. Hits ball out front, bat has quickness with extension in finish, Projects for solid average with pop. Threw an inning on mound, pounded zone with fastball, quick inning, change has very good sink and deception. Good student.
