2003 Southeast Top Prospect Showcase
Bralver is a strong, young player who has a chance to get even stronger. His 6-2, 185 lb. frame is very projectable. Bralver’s best tool is his bat. He generates good bat speed with a compact, wristy swing that has some lift and loft potential in it. When Bralver learns to incorporate his hips and lower body more in his swing, he’s going to hit some real bombs. We saw Bralver mostly at first base, where he did a very good job picking low throws out of the dirt. We’d like to see him more in the outfield, where his athleticism and close to average arm strength would be more of a factor. His hitting ability should attract a lot of interest. Steve is a top student as well.
