Sam McKay is a 2012 RHP/OF with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Weymouth, MA who attends Weymouth. Good athletic build with length and strength. High 3/4 arm slot on the mound. Big kick, stays balanced in delivery. Arm works well with short arm action. Fastball has arm side run. Maintained velocity well. Sat 83-85, touched 87. Curveball had good speed at 75 and early 11/5 break. Changeup was straight with good arm action. Good outfield skills. Gets to ball cleanly and throws are online with carry and very good arm strength. Long swing at the plate with strength. Pull approach with the ability to hit the ball to all fields. Very good student. Hartford commit. Prospect to watch.
