Alex Lange is a 2014 RHP/1B with a 6-3 210 lb. frame from Lee's Summit, MO who attends Lee's Summit West HS. Thick strong build, physically mature. Tall drifting delivery with pause at the top, quick initial turn, compact arm action, tight 3/4's arm slot, hides the ball well, shows better stuff/command from the stretch. Fastball topped at 92 mph, gets downhill well with occasional run and sink, can improve consistency of fastball life. Slider was best secondary pitch this outing, good shape and nice tilt and depth, best sliders were at top velocities. Didn't show plus change up as has previously thrown but still was a good pitch. Works quickly and efficiently, works down and misses low, has pitchability and three solid pitches. Mature approach. Can continue to refine delivery for more consistency. Very good student, verbal commitment to Louisiana State.

Alex Lange is a 2014 RHP/1Bwith a 6-3 189 lb. frame from Lee's Summit, MO who attends Lee's Summit West HS. Strong physical build, pretty mature physically. Leg raise drifting delivery, compact arm action catches up well, fast arm, repeats delivery well and pitches to spots. Upper 80's fastball, topped out at 91 mph, has deception and fastball gets on hitters quickly. Outstanding split fingered change up, identical release point/arm speed to fastball, hard late tumble at times, big league pitch right now. Hard slurve type breaking ball with good spin and some depth/bite. Hitters had no chance when he was mixing pitches, abusive three pitch mix. Very good student.

Alex Lange is a 2014 RHP with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Lee's Summit, MO who attends Lee's Summit West HS. Lean loose atheltic build, hip width to grow into, very projectable. Big leg raise delivery with gather at the top, quick loose arm coming through, compact 3/4's release point, hides ball well. Fastball to 89 mph, gets on hitters quickly, mostly straight with occasional sink low, can get FB to glove side with intent. Curveball flashes hard spin and bite, tends to overthrow, rare slider showed hard power break and good shape, turns over 2-seam type fastball for change up with nice life. Off speed underdeveloped but shows potential. Outstanding young arm with high ceiling potential. Very good student.

Works both sides of the plate, works quickly, quick from the stretch. Balanced delivery, good lower half use keeps change up down. Arm and body project well. Leg kick trigger at the plate, deep load, leverage in swing, has some present power. Quick bat, long power oriented swing, hard contact, quiet approach with good bat speed. Excellent student.
