Chase Spears is a 2014 OF/C with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Cypress, TX who attends Cy Ranch. Has a medium compact frame with a strong athletic build. Has a strong arm in the outfield with good actions. He attacks the ball with an accurate online arm that has good carry and shows good footwork. Has a quick release behind the plate with good carry on his throws and good lateral movement which helps him block balls. Is aggressive at the plate with a toe-tap trigger, has a level swing with bat speed and is a gap to gap hitter with pop. Drives the ball well with lift in his swing and uses his lower half well. Is a prospect to follow and is a good student.
