T.J. Lovisa is a 2007 2B/3B with a 5'10'', 175 lb. frame from Huntington Station NY, who attends Huntington. Lovisa has a medium sized frame with a strong lower half. Defensively, Lovisa has a clean arm action and makes the throws easily. He has solid footwork and moves to the ball well. He has solid defensive actions and showed good body control in the defensive workout. Lovisa showed good baserunning instincts in the showcase games and was aggressive on the basepaths. At the plate, Lovisa starts with balanced stance and stays balanced through finish. He has flexed knees and uses a short load to start his swing. Lovisa has a compact swing and throws his hands to the baseball well. He has quick hands with bat speed through the zone. Lovisa looks to lift the ball and presently has gap to gap pop. He is also a very good student.

T.J. Lovisa is a 2007 3B/2B/OF from Huntington HS in Huntington Manor, NY, with a 5'10'', 185 lb. frame. He has very good strength for his size and has worked hard to develop his body. Lovisa had a sprained ankle at the event which limited what he could do on the field. He didn't run the 60. He showed smooth hands on defense and a good transfer on his throws. It looked like his leg made it difficult for him to plant on his throws, so we didn't feel we had a good evaluation on his arm strength and overall defensive actions. Offensively, Lovisa is a right handed hitter with a wide stance and a short, quick swing. He has good bat speed and uses his strength well. Lovisa likes the ball on the inside half where he can turn on it and rotate his body through the ball and tends to reach on the outer half. His strength and raw bat speed give him some power potential. Lovisa obviously wasn't at full strength physically but he worked hard and has a great attitude on the field. We look forward to seeing him more in the future. Lovisa is a very good student off the field.
