Jack McGrane is a 2012 RHP/OF with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Concord, CA who attends De La Salle HS. Square shouldered athletic build, good present strength. Well paced leg raise delivery, high clean arm circle, arm works well, extended 3/4's arm slot, bit cross body on release. Fastball topped at 80 mph, looks like there is more velocity there, cut FB effectively at 76 mph. Slurve type breaking ball at 71 mph showed good shape and bite, nice change up with consistent sinking action. Threw strikes, has a good idea how to pitch. Switch hitter, better bat speed left handed but similar swing mechanics, spread no stride approach, backside hitter, mid field contact, occasional lift. Finding a bit more velocity the key.
