Taylor Perkins is a 2008 MIF/3B/RHP that attends Dinwiddie HS and resides in Dinwiddie, VA with a 6'0", 186 lb. frame. Taylor has a strong athletic build and a solid overall game. At the plate Taylor shows great bat speed with nice power potential. He can really drive the ball to any part of the field and just needs to make sure his swing does not get inside-out too often. In the field Taylor projects very well at third base. He has solid footwork with very solid arm strength in the field. His release needs to be shortened to play shortstop but there is plenty of upside in his game. On the mound Taylor throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with a short arm circle and good arm speed. He has an easy delivery with good command and is very efficient with his pitches. Taylor features a very solid 11 to 5 CB along with a nice straight CH. Taylor is a solid two-way player that should attract the attention of many mid to high-level college programs.

Taylor Perkins is a 2008 MIF/3B/OF with a 6'0'', 187 lb. frame from Dinwiddie VA, who attends Dinwiddie. Named to Top Prospect Team. Perkins has a medium sized frame with a strong build. Perkins pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a short arm action. He has good arm speed with good looseness to it. Perkins has a live arm that works well. He maintains good balance through his delivery and gets extension out front. Perkins is aggressive in the stike zone and really goes after hitters. He throws a sharp curveball as well as a solid slider. Both offspeed piches are projectable and have potential to be good strikeout pitches. Perkins knows how to pitch and demonstrated a high baseball IQ. At the plate, Perkins starts with a sightly open stance and high hands. He generates bat speed and made consistent solid middle of the field contact. Defensively, Perkins has arm strength and good hands. He is a solid two-way prospect and projects better on the mound. He is also an excellent student.
