Michael Mediavilla is a 2014 LHP/1B with a 6-4 195 lb. frame from Hialeah, FL who attends Mater Academy School. XL build, tall strong athletic, looks the part. Good two-way ability. Pitches from three quarter arm slot, long arm action, low effort delivery. Big movement on secondary pitches, big slow 12-6 curveball with a lot of depth, good feel for it, found corners of strike zone with it. Big fade action on changeup at 72, lot of sink on pitch, throws it for strikes. Finesse approach, needs to improve ability to attack hitters with his fastball but has the physical tools to develop that ability. Very good hitting tools, loose swing actions, strong at contact, ball jumps off his bat. Aggressive approach, power potential, good balance, lift in his swing.
