Tom Williams is a 2005 outfielder/first baseman from Austin, Texas, with a very strong 6'2", 215 lb. frame. Williams is a switch hitter with present raw power from both sides of the plate. He is strong with very good bat speed and a slight lift in his swing. Williams has great hand strength with good balance, and gets good leverage in his swing. Williams showed his athleticism with a solid sixty time of 7.00 which is great for his size, and he also showed great hustle on the bases. Defensively he showed some arm strength during the workouts and good hands. Williams is a big power hitter who can run. Tom is a good student who has signed with the U of Houston.

Williams is a big, strong 6'2/210 athletic outfielder with good speed and mobility for his size (7.16 60). He’s a switch hitter who looked better from the right side at this point. Williams sets up wide at the plate and generates good bat speed from what appears to be his natural side. He has the chance to hit with power in the future. From the left side Williams does not have the same type of bat speed and will consistently drop his hands under the ball. Defensively, Williams is a left field type who also plays some first base. He's athletic and he can hit and with power.
