Tristan Heckerl is a 2008 RHP with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Atherton, CA who attends Menlo College. Broad shouldered build, has some present strength. Fast paced delivery with early hip turn, quick deep arm circle, hides ball well, 3/4's release point, arm works well out front. Steady 88-90 mph fastball, touched 91 mph, mostly straight with occasional cutting action glove side. Flashes tight curveball spin, inconsistent release point due to rushed arm action, tends to slow body on change up. Around the zone with all pitches but command not fine tuned.

Tristan Heckerl is a 2008 right hand pitcher from Seoul American HS, which is on a US military base in Seoul, South Korea. He has a 5'11" 150 lb. frame and a lean, lithe body type. Heckerl is still physically a bit away from able to be fully judged as a prospect, but he certainly showed that he knows how to pitch. He has a long arm action and creates some leverage in his arm stoke by getting to some deep backside extension. His arm speed is decent and still developing. Heckerl has a good delivery that unfolds on-time and allows him to get to decent extension. He was able to start the bats of many hitters and mixed his pitches well. His fastball topped at 80 mph and should continue to gain some velocity in the coming years. Heckerl spins the curveball well and throws it with 11/5 action. He also showed some feel of a straight change-up. Heckerl does a nice job of competing to the zone and pitching to contact. He trusts his approach and knows how to pitch. Given some more time to gain strength, he has a chance to pitch at the college level.

Heckerl is a 5-8, 135 lb sophomore right handed pitcher with a very young body whose parents are currently stationed in the military in South Korea. Heckerl throws from a standard 3/4's release point and was 74-76 mph on his fastball. He would occasionally drop his release point to the side and threw 71 mph with more tailing action. Heckerl's most effective pitch was a 63-65 mph curveball that he could have thrown more often and he also threw a 64 mph change up. Heckerl is an outstanding student.

Tristan is an '08 pitcher/MIF from Seattle, WA who plays hard and shows a lot of hustle. He is very young at this point and needs to gain some core strength, but he has ample time to develop into a competitive player. He is a "Rudy" (Notre Dame) type player who will give you all he has and dsiplays a love of the game. He shows consistant mechanics on the mound, a 3/4 arm slot, and the ability to throw strikes. His 68mph FB lacks velocity at the present time, but has the potential for later development. He is a gritty young player.
