At 6 foot 1 and 180 pounds Zwilling still looks young for his age and should grow into a larger frame. He has a good body with a proportionate build. He came to the indoor workout on short rest from a recent game but still showed the type of pitchability that can project him as a very effective pitcher at the next level. He showed a hard-working drop and drive delivery with nice balance and a consistent overall motion. His stride was straight and his arm worked well from a three quarter arm slot. He has the ability to repeat his motion consistently. His only mechanical flaw showed up late in his pitch count when he released the ball slightly early leaving his fastball up in the zone. He throws a fastball, curveball and change-up. He displayed command of all 3 and his off-speed pitches got better with each hitter he faced. His fastball registered 80mph although we have reports of his velocity being consistently in the mid 80's this winter. His curve was between 64-67 mph showing a good forward spin creating a 12-6 path. His change-up sat in the 70-72 mph range showing effective location and a good feel for it. Zwillings' overall pitching package is a good one and we think he will create an increasing amount of interest as he shows people what we saw and the extra velocity that we heard about. There is no question that he wants the ball and loves to pitch ! Keep a close eye on him over the next year.
