Will Hebberger -- Hebberger is a strong, physically mature junior catcher from Georgia. He hits from a straight up stance with a quiet no load approach and takes advantage of his strong hands and upper body. More lower body involvement in his swing would give Hebberger even more power. Hebberger took a strong batting practice, showing good bat speed and an up the middle approach during the workout, but got everyone’s attention at 8:30 am the next day by hitting a long home run on the first pitch of the first morning game. He’s an aggressive hitter with power potential. Defensively, Hebberger showed very good arm strength in workouts and even better arm strength in games. His release and footwork needs some work but the tools are there for him to be a highest level defensive catcher. He has good bounce and some running speed for someone his size and strength. This kid is going to create a ton of interest.
