Jonathan McCarthy is a 2014 RHP/1B with a 6-0 205 lb. frame from Orchard Park, NY who attends Orchard Park. Medium, strong frame, thicker lower half. Ran a 7.52 60 yard dash. Works from an over the top arm slot, arm action is short, brings the ball up around his ear. Has some deception. Methodical delivery and gathers well at his balance. Fastball topped out at 74 mph, spots it well and finishes his pitches. Curveball has 12-6 rotation at 62 mph, flashes some depth. Also mixed in a 63 mph changeup. Repeats his delivery and knows how to pitch. Good upside.
