Zachary Kles is a 2007 C/3B/1B from Jefferson City High School in Jefferson, GA, with a strong and durable 6'0'', 200 lb. frame. Defensively he has solid arm strength behind the plate with a good release on his throws to second base. He did show position flexibility by also playing the infield. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits with a slight knee lift trigger and a good hand load. There is strength and power in his swing presently and he will drive the gaps. Kles has solid bat speed to handle good fastballs, and he likes the ball low in the zone. He showed his competitiveness and great attitude by filling in and pitching at the event. He did get late sink on his fastball and produced three weak pop outs. Kles appears to be a dedicated hard worker, and is a good student as well.
