Alejandro Blanco is a 2014 RHP with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends American Senior HS. Medium build, strong mature look. Side step delivery, long extended loose arm action, sidearm slot. Fastball topped out at 86 mph, nice velocity for that slot, big running action when down in the zone, tends to flatten and straighten when up, has trouble getting ball down and to glove side consistently where he needs to be. Primary fastball pitcher, rare soft sweeping curveball. Has the tools to be effective at the next level with better command and the development of off speed pitches. Good student.
