Christopher Taylor is a 6'2" 160 pound 2008 right handed pitcher and first baseman from Highlands Ranch, California who attends Thunder Ridge High School. He has a large lean build with long arms and legs that will allow for some added muscle. Christopher throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a full arm action in back. He has good arm speed and looseness out front. He gets good extension out front and drives to the plate very well with his lower half. Taylor attacks hitters with his 83 mph fastball and his curveball at 66-70 mph which has good tight rotation to it. He shows a good feel for his changeup which he throws 70-72mph and has good life away from left handed hitters. He knows how to pitch and has the will to succeed. At the plate, Christopher has an upright stance with a narrow base and uses a smal stride to make solid contact to all fields. He has some good raw strength in his swing and has good gap to gap power. Taylor has a very good upside both ways and is a good student as well.
