Drop/drive delivery, some cross body on release, hides ball well, mid-80's FB with some run inside, inconsistent release point, gets on side of CB, probably better off with SL. Good athlete with some mobility on defense. Can keep improving.

Heavy FB, mostly mid 80's, touch 89 mph, pitches inside with FB. Sweeping SL, occ sharp break, good life on change up. Works around zone, pitches have life. Showed good power in BP.

Jordan Langel is a 2008 RHP/OF with a 6'4'', 210 lb. frame from Luxemburg, IA who attends Western Dubuque HS. Langel has a tall build with present strength. On the mound he uses a compact arm action from 3/4 arm slot. He has a quick arm and he hides ball well. He has a cross body release and his fastball was 83-85, and topped at 86 mph. His fastball has good late running life. He gets on the side of his CB at 68 mph from release, and he might be better with a slider. Jordan has good present arm strength to develop.

Jordan Langel is a 2008 right handed pitcher/shortstop from Luxemburg, Iowa, with a strong 6'4", 205 lb. frame. Langel had one of the best baseball bodies at the event. He has a long rocker step and a slight hip turn in his delivery. His arm arch is short on the back side, and he could finish a little stronger. Langel has some tailing action on his fastball that topped out at 77 mph. He also throws a 10 to 4 curveball at 66 mph with a small bite. Offensively, Langel shows some raw power and hit a home run in one of the showcase games. He hits from an upright stance with a long swing, and he likes to pull the ball. He makes inconsistent contact because he is trying to pull the outside pitches. He has a first baseman's body and showed solid fielding actions. Langel has the arm strength and strength at the plate to be a very good prospect. A solid follow.
