Mitchell Overstreet is a 2009 OF/P/1B with a 6'3'', 225 lb. frame from Bettendorf, IA, who attends Bettendorf High School. Overstreet is a physically mature player who is very strong and durable. He doesn't look like most 2009 prospects around the country. Defensively he has arm strength from the outfield with good online carry, especially to home plate. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a slightly closed stance with a toe tap trigger. He has good bat speed through the hitting zone and gets leverage at the point of contact. Overstreet has raw power that should allow him to be a middle of the order run producer. He attacks pitches in the zone, and he stays on the breaking ball well. Great upside at the plate. On the mound he throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a short arm circle on the back side. He shows present velocity with an 85 mph fastball. Overstreet also mixed in a mid-70s breaking ball, and a 74 mph change. He has good upside, and is a good student as well.

Mitchell Overstreet is a 2009 3B/OF/P with a 6'3'', 226 lb. frame from Bettendorf IA, who attends Bettendorf HS. He has a very big, strong and mature for his age. Overstreet has a power approach at the plate and with his size and strength must dominate in his age group. He has good balance in his swing set up and hits under control from a pre-load, no stride approach. Overstreet has lift and extension in his swing and lots of leverage at contact. He has plenty of bat speed and the ball jumps off his bat. He can handle wood well at age 15. Defensively, Overstreet is a corner defender with some arm strength and smooth hands. His size and mobility may limit him to first base in the future. Overstreet also took a turn on the mound and threw 81 mph from a fluid, easy delivery with a decent 68 mph curveball. It's hard to project Overstreet too much but he has good present tools, especially with the bat. He is a good student.

Mitchell Overstreet is a 2009 outfielder/right handed pitcher from Bettendorf, Iowa, with a strong 6'1", 200 lb. frame. Overstreet showed good arm strength from the outfield with very good arm speed. His throws were on line with good throwing mechanics, and had the best outfield arm at the event. Overstreet has a balanced swing with good leverage and power potential. He likes the ball on the inner half, and is a free swinger. On the mound, he throws from a 3/4 arm slot with good arm action and arm speed. Overstreet had life on his fastball that topped out at 80 mph which is impressive for an 8th grader. He also throws an 11 to 5 curveball at 62 mph that improved the more he threw it. He also threw a changeup at 71 mph. Overstreet has all of the tools to be a top prospect offensively and on the mound. His power arm/power bat combination are impressive regardless of his age. He is a must follow.
