Alec Lopez is a 2016 SS/2B with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from St. Augustine, FL who attends Allen D Nease HS. Medium, athletic build with long limbs and a lean, projectable frame with room to fill out with additional strength. Ran a 7.22 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, fields the ball out front and works through it. Lower arm slot on throws across the diamond, gets under throws at times, nice strength and carry with solid footwork. Switch hitter, starts swing with a small leg lift from the left side. Shows natural lift and fluidity in swing, shifts weight well and stays balanced through swing. Short path to the ball from the right side. Stays inside the ball with bat speed coming through the zone and strength to pull side. On time with swing from both sides and shows nice momentum.
