Joe Fernando is a 2015 SS/2B with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Brooklyn, NY who attends Deerfield Academy. Fernando has an athletic build with broad slopping shoulders, hits from a slightly open stance, pull approach with a line drive swing plane and lift. Hands work well with a direct path to the ball, showed ability to hit to all fields during batting practice with power. Defensively, quick clean footwork circling baseball. Works through ball nicely and has a clean transfer and release. Ran a 6.52 sixty. Good student. Signed with Seton Hall.
