Dawson Ewers is a 2015 OF/RHP with a 6-1 167 lb. frame from Canton, GA who attends Creekview. Large, athletic build with long limbs and a lean, projectable build with room to fill out with added strength. Outstanding runner, ran a 6.54 60-yard dash and shows impact speed during in game action. Primary outfielder, tools project well in centerfield with speed, covers ground and moves well to the ball, shows some arm strength from a short arm action and three-quarter slot on throws. Also pitched, throws from a three-quarter arm slot with a short arm action at release. Shoulder tilt delivery, has a quick arm coming through and does a nice job getting on top of the ball, attacking hitters fastball that shows run to arm side up to 82 mph. Has a nice feel for 12-6 curveball, showing depth on the pitch at 70 mph. Left-handed hitter, shows an aggressive approach at the plate with a short and quick swing. Long stride into contact, creates leverage in swing and shows a nice feel for the barrel with projectable strength. Named to Southeast Top Prospect List. Excellent student.
