Rolando Rocha is a 2015 C/RHP/OF with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Pearland, TX who attends Pearland HS. Slender young build, room to get stronger. Switch hitter, sound swing fundamentals right handed, stays balanced and hits through the ball, handles the barrel well and squares up, lacks the present strength to drive the ball. Appears new to hitting left handed, long sweeping swing, tends to pull off front side getting the bat through the zone. 7.30 runner, moves well behind the plate, loose arm with developing arm strength, two-part release at present and will need to learn to anticipate in game situations. Also pitched, throws Laredo style from down under, threw all strikes down in the zone with good sink, quick effective inning. Very good student.
