Anthony Amicangelo is a 2016 OF/MIF with a 5-10 190 lb. frame from Bremerton, WA who attends Bremerton. Medium frame with a solid, athletic build. Right handed hitter with an upright, straight stance and quiet leg kick trigger. Shows a compact, line drive swing plane creating leverage at times. Present bat speed with some pop to the games. Primarily uses a mid-field approach but shows the barrel control and strength to hit to all fields. Hustles and gets out of the box well showing a 4.39 home to first time in game play. Also ran a 6.67 sixty-yard dash. Worked out defensively from the outfield showing smooth athletic actions while closing to baseball with clean glove skills throughout transition. Flashed solid arm whip and strength creating accurate throws to the bag with carry, topped at 91 mph. Tracked baseball well in the outfield during game play showing good reaction skills with the ability to run down balls in the gap. Good student as well.
