Sage Sutter is a 2016 C/2B, OF with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Manchester, IA who attends West Delaware. Small, athletic frame. body projects for added strength. Right handed hitter with a slightly open, tall stance and a leg lift trigger. Shows a compact bat path to contact and creates some natural lift through extension. Consistent mechanics and repeats well producing consistent mid-field , line drive contact. Quiet lower half mechanic and generates bat speed from the top half. Bat tends to be in and out of hitting zone quickly. Worked out defensively from behind the plate. Shows a low, balanced set and moves well to both sides. Gains some ground while throwing and gets tall on release at times. Gets the ball out quickly with a compact arm action with accuracy to the bag, topped at 69 mph, best pop 2.11. Good student as well.
