Braydon Cook is a 2016 RHP with a 6-1 193 lb. frame from O'Fallon, MO who attends Francis Howell HS. Solid athletic build with good present strength. Hand drop delivery, stays tall over the rubber then accelerates hard to the plate, some energy at release, high 3/4's arm slot, will drop lower at times. Steady mid-80's fastball, topped out at 87 mph, mostly straight with occasional arm side run, works fastball to the bottom of the zone well. Nice slider with tight spin and late biting action, got good depth at times once he settled into a rhythm. Change up tends to be firm but has very good sinking life down in the zone. Threw strikes and has an idea how to pitch and the arsenal to mix it up. Has shown steady progress over the last year and has gained 3-4 mph since the fall. Good student.
