Josh Hartman is a 2016 SS/RHP with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Rancho Cucamonga, CA who attends The Webb Schools. Medium, athletic frame with solid present build and good projection on body. Ran well, posting a 7.05 second 60-yard dash time. Hits from open stance with wrapped start, downhill swing plane, consistent contact ability with some hand quickness. Goes to opposite field almost exclusively. Charges well and fields cleanly in the OF, shows quick, athletic gather and transfer with solid arm strength, topping at 79 MPH with accuracy. Short, quick footwork in the IF with projectable actions. Throws well across the diamond, topping at 80 MPH. Shows athleticism on the mound, hip coil delivery with good lower half usage, longer arm action up to medium 3/4 slot. Fastball worked 76-78, works quickly and pounds the zone. Showed shorter slider at 72, almost a cutter, but was effective with sharpness. CB at 67 with 11/5 shape and solid spin. Good student.
