Nick Lavin is a 2015 RHP/OF with a 6-3 220 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Del Norte. Tall, large frame, strong build. Pitches from an over the top arm slot with a shorter arm action, pitches downhill and worked in the lower half of the strike zone consistently with ability to elevate when necessary. Missed bats, worked quickly, long aggressive stride to the plate creates deception to delivery. Threw strikes and was effective in this outing. Sound swing as well, good fundamentals with a short line drive swing with strength at contact. Arm stood out in outfield workout where he threw 87 mph with good carry. Good student.
