Tommy West is a 2014 LHP/1B with a 6-4 215 lb. frame from Omaha, NE who attends Millard North. West has an extra large frame with a projectable build. He pitches from an overhand arm slot with a shorter arm action. West has a quick arm action and his arm works well. He has an online delivery and he pitches with some effort. West is a strike thrower and he spots up his fastball well. He also threw a 1/7 curveball with good shape and spin to it. He also threw his change up at 72 MPH with deception. Defensively, West showed good hands and actions at 1B and picked the ball well. At the plate, West has a quiet approach and generates bat speed. He looks to pull the baseball and he showed some pop. Interesting projectable LHP. Very good student, named to Top Prospect Team.
