Mason Schuh is a 2014 LHP/1B/OF with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Magnolia, TX who attends Magnolia HS. Medium build, some present strength. Leg raise delivery, full arm circle, 3/4's arm slot with some angle to the plate, medium effort at release. Fastball topped at 85 mph, mostly 81-83 mph, gets good sink and boring action, moves fastball in and out to intent and not afraid to come inside to both RHH/LHH hitters, throws strikes with fastball and works quickly. Flashed good spin on curveball, tends to miss arm side frequently. Left handed hitter with some hitting tools, balanced stance with good bat speed and swing path, showed pop in both BP and in games, squares the ball up consistently, can play both corner outfield and first base on defense. Nice all round player. Good student.
