Joshua Santiago is a 2013 LHP with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Arecibo, PR who attends Faith Baptist Christian School. Slender young pitchers build. High leg kick delivery, long extended arm action, 3/4's arm slot, has effort on release and tends to get off balance, fast loose arm. Fastball topped at 84 mph, saw 86 mph last month, good running action on fastball, throws mostly to his arm side and has trouble getting the ball to the glove side. Big breaking slow curveball, commands curveball well and mixes it well and effective. Projects physically and has a loose, strong arm, next step is learning to repeat delivery and spot his fastball.
