Defensively, he stays low to the baseball and plays through the ball well. He has developing actions with solid transfers. Zabala has a whippy arm action with developing arm strength. At the plate, he starts with an open stance with a high hand set. Zabala has a short swing path to the ball and swings on a flat path. He made solid contact to the pullside with backspin line drives.
