Christian Lopez is a 2006 outfielder from Everglades HS in Pembroke Pines, FL, with a 5'10", 170 lb. frame. He has very good physical tools with athletic actions. He is an excellent runner with a quick first step and has good game quickness as well, not just speed. Defensively he has very good fundamentals in the outfield with good arm strength and smooth footwork. He moves effortlessly in the outfield and can cover some ground. At the plate he is a right handed hitter with a short and quick swing. Lopez has very good bat speed and stays balanced throughout his swing with good leverage at contact. It appears he likes the ball middle in and has present pull power with more to come. Lopez is a good looking hitter who can hit in the middle of the order at the next level. He is a good student with a bright baseball future.
