Ethan Miller is a 2009 RHP/1B with a 6'5'', 205 lb. frame from Chino Hills, CA who attends Ayala HS. Ethan has a great pitchers build and keeps making jumps every time we see him on the mound. He has an effortless delivery and easily sat 88-90 this outing. He has good mechanics and his breaking ball has large potential. He completed his three pitch arsenal with a 78mph change. He keeps adding velocity and who knows where he will stop with his frame and projectability. He also has power at the plate with good leverage in his swing. Ethan is a very good student and definite 2009 to follow closely.

Ethan Miller is a 2009 1B/P with a 6'5'', 200 lb. frame from Chino Hills, CA who attends Ayala. Miller has a big frame with an long lean build. He has a big athletic body with a great pitchers build. Miller pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a long arm action. He has a loose arm and his arm works well. Miller uses a high leg kick and with tall and fall style mechanics. He gets his hips closed at balance point and throws across his body some. Miller has an easy delivery and pitches with low effort. He has very projectable velocity with a high end potential. He gets armside run and sink on his fastball at 83-86 mph. Miller throws a curveball that breaks on an 11/5 plane. His curveball is a solid pitch when he lets loose and throws it with arm speed. Miller also throws a change up at 74 mph. At the plate, Miller starts with a straight stance and rocks to the basebal. He has serious power and generates good bat speed. The ball jumps off his bat and his has good strength in swing. His hitting mechanics are a bit raw yet, but there is potential in there. Miller is a very good student.

Ethan Miller is a 2009 1B/P with a 6'5'', 195 lb. frame from Chino Hills, CA who attends Ayala HS. He has a long and strong body on a projectable pro body. Miller is a talented young player, potentially a two-way player at the D1 level. Long term he looks to be more of a pitcher. He pitches from a high 3/4 slot with a short backside arm action. Miller generates some arm speed with pretty easy effort, suggesting that he will steadily gain velocity. His fastball was 83-85 mph with good movement that at times was sink and other times was riding action. His breaking ball is a 75 mph slider that presently is a bit flat, more like a cutter. Miller competes well and will continue to improve as his mechanics tighten up and he gets stronger. Offensively he has good bat speed and showed present day power. The ball gets off his bat well, with a loud crack and consistent barrel contact. There is some length in Miller's swing but he made it work for him with good timing. He is a good student and has a future at the major D1 level and someday beyond.

Ethan Miller is a 2009 1B/P with a 6'4'', 190 lb. frame from Chino Hills CA, who attends Ayala HS. He was strongly considered for the '09 Top Prospect list. Miller has a rangy body that will continue to fill out as the physically matures. It is a very nice frame on a young pitcher. He was listed as a primary 1st baseman, but looked more advanced as a pitching prospect. In his three innings he struck out 6 hitters. Miller has some arm speed and as he gets stronger, he will throw harder. His fastball (84-86 mph) has some run and in time should get more as he gets stronger and learns to get even further out over his front leg at extension. Miller also showed feel of a change-up (77 mph) and a 71 mph curveball. His mechanics can still improve and when that happens, his stuff should take a big jump. He is very interesting as a pitching prospect and should be followed closely. With the bat he showed some pullside power. The ball got off his bat well and he has decent timing, which he showed by hammering pitches in his zone. He has good hands and decent plate coverage. However, Miller's future looks to be on the mound. He is a good student and has upside on the bump.

Ethan Miller is a 2009 C/1B with a 6'3'', 170 lb. frame from Chino Hills, CA, who attends Ayala HS. He has a tall and lean frame with great projection. Defensively he has arm strength with good pop times that were under 2.00 during the workout, with a best pop of 1.94 Miller moves well behind the plate with coordination and is light on his feet. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a slightly open stance with a crouch. Miller has a line drive swing plane with good bat speed and nice swing mechanics. He puts back spin on the ball, and shows projectable power. He was a hitting machine during the showcase games going 3 for 5 hitting the ball to all fields with strength in his swing. All of the tools are there for Miller to develop into a very good catcher with hitting skills. He is also a very good student, and should be followed.

Ethan Miller is a 6'2" 158 pound 2009 catcher, first baseman, and right handed pitcher from Chino Hills, California who attends Ayala High School. He is a tall slender kid with a projectable body. Miller has a quick release which shows in his 2.00 pop times. He has balanced foot work behind the plate and has good hands to handle any pitching staff. Ethan hits with an average base with some quiet hands that he holds high. He has good leverage at contact and has somewhat of an inside out swing. He has a great desire to play the game and will do whatever it takes to make things happen. Ethan is a solid catcher who is a very good student as well.
