Payne McCutcheon is a 2015 C/OF, 3B, 1B, RHP with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Overland Park, KS who attends Olathe East. Extra large projectable frame with an athletic strong build. Has a tall set up at the plate with a small simple load and a sound approach. Does a good job of using his lower half in his swing for added power, has a good swing with pop, and does a good job of staying inside the ball well. Behind the plate he has a quick transfer and release with a good accurate arm, is a good receiver and does a good job of blocking balls. Has a long arm action from the outfield with arm strength, has good footwork and gets good reads on fly balls. Pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a long arm action, mixing in a 11-5 curveball with depth to keep hitters off-balance. Is an excellent student and a 2-way guy to continue to follow.
