Tyler Niemann is a 2014 C/SS with a 6-3 160 lb. frame from Canton, MO who attends Canton. Niemann has a large frame with a long lean build. Defensively he has solid footwork behind the plate with some catch and throw tools. He has developing arm strength with accurate throws. Niemann receives well and blocks balls well. At the plate, he starts with a tall stance and uses a leg raise to start his swing. He maintains good balance through his swing and he generates good bat speed. Niemann made consistent solid contact and he looks to pull the ball. He showed some pop and has some power potential. Interesting follow guy to track progress. Outstanding student.
