Dylan Messer is a 2016 RHP/1B with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from London, KY who attends North Laurel. Large build with a strong lower half and still has some projectability to his frame. Ran a 7.03 60 yard dash. Right-handed pitcher who throws from a high three-quarter arm slot. Mechanics will smooth out with more experience. Throws a lot of strikes with his combination of fastball/curveball and spots them to both sides of plate with command. Fastball topped 82 mph which featured arm side run and at times had occasional cut action. Good feel for curveball which has tight rotation and is able to get on top of the ball. Also plays first base where he showed a strong, online arm. Right-handed batter with a slightly open, crouched set up. Middle of the field, line drive approach. Named to Top Prospect List. Very good student.
