Calvin Butler is a 2016 C/IF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from College Park, GA who attends North Clayton. Has a medium frame with an athletic build. Primarily a catcher with a solid arm and quick arm action throwing 75 MPH down to second. Flashed promising quick twitch that could project. Developing accuracy and footwork. Posted a 2.04 POP time. On the infield, strong arm reaching up to 84 MPH, with ability to move both ways laterally. Had young actions and raw footwork. At the plate, right handed hitter that started with a standard stance and simple leg lift and load. Rotational swing with an inside out approach. Developing extension and solid bat path. Good student.
