Alec Cordova is a 2017 SS/2B with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Bellevue, WA who attends Issaquah HS. Medium, athletic frame with slender present build; body projects well moving forward. Ran 60 yard dash in 6.92 seconds. Sets up to hit with open front side, leg lift timing mechanism with line drive swing plane. Stays committed to the middle of the field throughout hitting approach, shows the ability to hit the baseball the other way as well. Most contact up the middle or to the opposite field with some inside-out swing paths. Worked out defensively in the infield, moves to ball very aggressively with high-quality footwork and athleticism, maintains solid actions throughout and shows good hands. Gathers well and gets off quick release across the diamond with good accuracy, arm strength clocked up to 77 MPH.
