Jared Middleton is a 2015 LHP/OF with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Lakeland, FL who attends George W. Jenkins HS. Medium compact build, strong lower half, broad shoulders. Balanced delivery with simple overall mechanics, 3/4's release point creates some angle to the plate, compact arm action hides the ball well, stays on line, repeats delivery well. Mid-80's fastball, topped out at 86 mph, has thrown up to 90 mph this summer, can get ball to both sides of the plate with good arm side running action. Slurve type breaking ball, has some tightness and bite at times with a sweeping shape. Nice change up with arm speed and late fading action. Has feel with all three pitches and fills up the strike zone, knows how to pitch. Good student.
