Pedro (Peter) Diaz is a 2016 RHP/C with a 5-10 187 lb. frame from Miami Lakes, FL who attends Monsignor Edward Pace. Large, well-built frame with good strength throughout body. Smooth mechanics on the mound with easy, rock and fire delivery. Longer arm action to 3/4 slot, ball comes out of hand pretty easily with solid natural heaviness and run to the arm side. Shows ability to command the FB down in the zone, and was generally around the plate with all of his pitches. Good strike-throwing ability overall. Showed a slider with good vertical shape, will flash a true two-plane slider at times. Changeup showed flashes of being quality 3rd pitch with fade and sink. Good student.
