Matthew Carvutto is a 6'1" 175 pound 2007 corner infielder from Poway, California who has a good athletic body with a large frame and strong build that has room for added muscle. Matthew is a good solid fielder with sure hands and good foot speed with good agility. At the plate, he hits with a wide base and gets good weight transfer to his back side. He has good present strength and has the ability to drive the ball and hit in the middle of the line up. Carvutto is a productive hitter who has some lift in his swing and makes solid contact. He has projectable power who will add more as he gets stronger. Matthew is a good student as well with a 3.6 gpa.
