Ramon Luna is a 2016 1B/LHP with a 6-0 202 lb. frame from Surprise,, AZ who attends Valley Vista HS. Large frame with strong, sturdy build; lots of strength throughout body. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.62 seconds. Hits with rotational swing, hands tight to body throughout swing, shows ability to keep hands inside and hit the ball to the opposite field. Has strength in swing to all fields. Worked out defensively at 1B, shows solid athleticism and smoothness throughout footwork and actions. Soft hands, showed good arm strength for position up to 78 MPH. Pitched as well, high leg kick under chin into delivery, uncoils well and gets downhill, shorter arm action to three quarters slot. FB worked 74-77 and bumped 78, threw strikes consistently with the pitch. Showed 1/7 CB with solid depth, also mixed in a mid-60's CH with solid fading action.
